The Independent Minority

The members of Texas 20/20 together represent 32 counties. They have spent a combined 69 years in the Texas Legislature and hold seats on 14 of the 40 House Committees.

An independent voting bloc, the members of Texas 20/20 are regarded as the House’s voice of moderation and as the ballast on most contentious issues. They are commonly looked to when the Legislature is in search of a common ground.
